[...Okay. For a fact, those robots cannot be stopped. Yet. While standing guard and speaking with Detective Kiyone in the tunnels regarding the prisoners several days ago, the Malnosso's robotic abductors broke into the prison where Naoya and Dilandau were being held. Batman and Kiyone put up a fight against the machines, but were ultimately pacified and subdued by them before they took Naoya right out of the prison. Batman, for his part, ended up hurt pretty badly, so he's been in hiding for the past several days, only occasionally returning to meet with the League, and never for very long. The event didn't help matters at all.

And then there was Dilandau's escape. How he managed to get hold of his journal was a mystery to him. He certainly never let him have it... and investigations into the matter have so far yielded no results. This has been a very unpleasant streak for the Caped Crusader. …Of course, with Kiyone now missing and presumably sent home for good, Batman has a lot of work to do to try to fix the damage done by the Malnosso.

Now fully healed and ready to jump back into action, he's going to head back to League Headquarters (such as it is) and meet with his associates. Afterward, he's going on the hunt. Both for information on the escape (anyone connected with Dilandau or who talked with him over the journal) and for Dilandau and Naoya themselves. If he has any say in it, they're going right back into those cells. Watch your backs, gentlemen.

But before he heads out on mission from the Justice League’s house, he's got a few calls to make.]

No luck. The only thing I got from the audio recording in the journal was the voice of a woman. Presumably, someone Dilandau knew well.

...There's one individual I can think of who might have a lead. I intend to find him today.

A woman? So most likely not one of the people we know to be a threat. [He mentally goes through the list as he says that, trying to pinpoint female possibilities. There aren't many.]

There is? [He lifts an eyebrow.] Can you tell me his name?

[Okay, she'll calm down a little now that she figures he's a good guy. He's still creepy though..]

...You did that..? I guess I should say thank you then!

If there's those who want to learn, I can always take a few rookies under my wing. [a pause as he glances over his own shoulder. Right. "Not literally" is implied.]

How was this even able to happen?

[Does trying to magically coax a potted ivy plant's vines to behave like tentacles (http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Devil%27s_Snare") count as suspicious? Because Neville's cleared out some space in the garden in front of House 26 to do that very thing. It's not going very well, but the vines do seem to be slithering well enough.]

[That gets a disappointed frown, but hey, it's Bruce. And he does have a point.] Right, I understand. Just let me know if you find out anything we can use.

[Suspicious activity? You got it. There's someone...something lurking in the shadows around house sixteen. He doesn't use the roads, but sticks to the darkness at the edge of the forest.

Once he's lingered around Polka's house enough, the shadow will venture over to house twenty-three. It seems to be carrying some sort of box as it silently perches itself on the darkest corner of Winry's roof.

After that it doesn't plan on moving for at least an hour, maybe more.]

[She's doing nothing suspicious. Just shopping. You know, because mice obviously have a need for shops.

She seems to be having trouble reading, though.]

Ap...ricots? I think that's right...

[Nope, nothing suspicious about a talking mouse wearing a little red cape.]

A few days before, the Malnosso's robots attacked the prison, removing Naoya. I was injured in the process. I suspect it was around that time that Dilandau somehow managed to recover his journal. I had taken it away from him when I locked him up there.

...I wasn't able to keep round-the-clock surveillance on the cells with my injuries, however. While I was out, someone had infiltrated the facility by picking every last lock in the facility. ...After I discovered this, I noticed Dilandau had used his journal to contact someone in the village.

[He pulls his journal out from the back of his utility belt and opens it to Dilandau's last entry.]

It has to be someone close to him. Someone who would have something to gain by setting him free. [And with that, he activates the voice clip in that entry, revealing Naria's voice.]

...We're going to need to recruit guards for the prison if we intend to seriously use it again.

Don't hesitate to call if you need assistance. He's no doubt planning his next move already.

That's not entirely surprising. Do you have any ideas? Maybe someone from the organizations we have here?

[On his patrol, Batman notices this, and observes from a distance with a pair of binoculars. Very strange. He's seen weirder by now in Luceti, and given the things he's seen Poison Ivy do with plants, but... this is curious. He keeps watching for now...]

[...A talking mouse wearing clothing, reading and shopping. He's come close to seeing everything now. It's difficult to hear her, though. And he's not about to make himself known if he doesn't have to.]

[She climbs up onto a shelf, looking through the spices.]

...Ah... I can't read these...

[...Oh, don't think he didn't see you, Raphael. And don't think he's not going to ninja up behind you in the darkest corner of that roof... And then quietly...]
