The First Day - Origin [Action]
[It's been a week now since Bruce landed in Luceti. Being the detective he is renowned for back home, he was quick to study Luceti, the guide, and other aspects about the place as quickly as he could. Being caught unprepared might be lethal. So when he was confident he had absorbed enough through the guide, simple experimentation, and the like, he decided to strike it out and learn more about the people here. He already discovered the existence of something called a "Justice League" here, but there was only one name that rung a bell. Superman. He didn't know who the Man of Steel was, save that he was a metahuman from Metropolis. Relatively speaking, he was a new guy. For now, though, he was going to avoid contact with him if at all possible. If he was from his world, he might recognize him as Bruce Wayne, something he didn't want to risk.
Especially considering his Batman gear hadn't shown up yet. Bruce was doing his best to gather supplies under the radar in case they didn't show up, but given Luceti's low-tech level, getting most of the gear he was acclimated to would be difficult without help. But that wasn't about to stop him.
But either way. Bruce will be wondering around Luceti for most of today, loitering at the library to read some, stopping by Good Spirits for a cup of coffee, browsing the stores, and making a stop at the Smithy. He's a man on a mission. Meet people, learn more about this place if at all possible. And to play up his act a bit more, if you're a beautiful woman, expect him to be extra polite. And don't be offended if he doesn't introduce himself as Bruce Wayne... a man has to be extra cautious in the unknown.]

nocapesorcowls . Members of the League who can identify him as Bruce Wayne may do well to keep their distance for now as a matter of preference, or expect to be lied to. A lot.)

I won't say no. Thank you, that's very kind.

[He heads over to her.]
Need me to hold anything?

I have the basket, but if you could carry that extra one? I'm trying to do a much restocking as I can, especially before Selphie's party.

So, you got any pearls of wisdom about this place? Like whether or not to avoid the seafood, or something?
[Derp. But it can be interpreted he meant on a broader scale, and that he was just being silly.]

That depends on what you already know. I hope you're at least from a place with electricity, because explaining that can be something of a nightmare. I'm still not sure that was their best idea....
[She grows more thoughtful as they head off.]
Well, the next experiment ought to be in about a week. I wish I could say there's a standard way to prepare for that, but there really isn't.

[He raises an eyebrow at the mention of the experiments.]
Do you suspect this experiment will be really bad?
no subject
It better not be. After that love experiment, I would say everyone here deserves a break from anything 'really bad' for a good while. Not that it's up to me....
...and yes, electricity is a fairly new thing in Luceti. A lot of people -myself included- came from worlds without it, so we had no idea how to use it properly upon first exposure. As you can guess, that caused a lot of mishaps.

...I can only begin to imagine. I hope no one got seriously hurt from it.

I don't think so, but I can't be sure. Either way, at least you missed that. They had a draft for March, but considering there was one just last month, I don't know if that will happen. That's not an annual tradition, so much as every other month or so.

I can imagine.
[Bad to worse, it seems.]
