First Night [Action]

[In the middle of the previous night, a note will be left under the door of Clark Kent. It reads as follows:]

Clark,

There are urgent matters to discuss. Be on top of Community Housing 7 at midnight.

[The note is not signed and not dated. Mysterious letter is mysterious. The only question is whether or not Clark will meet him there at the appropriate time. As for the rest of the night before then, Batman will keep tabs on Luceti. He's looking for anyone in particular he might find useful. If you want to be shadowed by this vigilante or speak with him feel free to be out and about minding your own business. Don't worry about finding him. He'll find you.

Be warned, he may not even stop to talk if he doesn't want to. That's just how he is.]

[He will frown at her, and narrow his eyes slightly. Personal space, Molly. Batman likes a lot of it. But it seems like she got the picture before too long, so his expression will ease slowly back to neutrality.]

You've heard of me. How?

[Riiight, she's backing up a couple of steps.]

Uh...

[He won't approach. He's not looking to scare her too much more than he already had. ...She hadn't done anything wrong, either. But he'll wait until she answers the question before taking another action.]

[Well, she told Superman... It wouldn't be long until he got the information from him, she knows that much, at least. Might as well hear it from her instead. So, she holds her hands behind her back and glances away.]

I... kinda think there's some kinda mutant who likes to travel between worlds and stalk other super heroes and write stories about them.

[...A strange answer. Had he been in Gotham, this would've earned her a dark frown and menacing approach. But here, people came from all manner of universes. He'll just stay put.

It sounded like she was suggesting that he was a storybook character. ...And he wasn't the only one. That meant that it was likely Clark was too. It would explain why she was so anxious to meet him. ...And of course, this meant she knew who both Clark and himself really were. ...Wouldn't hurt to be sure, though. She clearly wasn't out to cause trouble for anyone.]

Doubtful. But you're implying I'm a fictional character in your world?

Yeah. But you're right here and real! And Superman! And there are people like... like Digimon and Sonic and everything! So... I don't think you guys are fictional anymore. I mean, I might be a comic book character out there. [Grin!] Wouldn't that be awesome!?

[...Time to change the subject. That was everything he needed to know.]

Your power. It amplifies your physical strength at your will?

[Awwww, and she was about to tell him how he was her favorite. But she still smiles.]

Uh-huh. It's why I'm called Princess Powerful! [Her eyes glow a pink color at that. She won't mention that she can't quite control the strength of her power, even though Senel's trying to teach her.]

[A small hint of smile might tug at his lips there. Hey, he's not all doom and gloom. You might still be able to tell him he's your favorite, Molly. But he's still all business, though his tone remains fairly neutral.]

...Where do you derive that power from?

[She looks a little unsure here.]

... I don't really know. No one's asked me that before... I just kind of think about it and it happens.

[...That's not a good answer. He knows she's not lying, but that is not a good sign. Anything less than total control can make her a risk.]

...Do you know how to fully control that strength?

[And now she looks a little uncomfortable. She glances away and twiddles her fingers behind her back.]

... Not yet. But I'm working on it! Senel's teaching me how since he's got powers like mine! And I don't really use it unless I need to do it, like if some bad guy needs a clobbering.

[Senel. He'll make a mental note of that name. Might be worth talking to him too sometime...]

Then you're handling it. Good. If you need more help, ask.

[Man. These heroes she's meeting really are way better than all of the adults back in her world.] ... Okay.

[Before he can go away, though, Molly stands on her toes again and holds her fists in front of her in an enthusiastic fashion.]

Hey! You were always my favorite hero, you know!

[Okay, you get a small smile from the Dark Knight for that one. He'll give her a small nod as well.]

I'll be in touch. Stay out of trouble.

[And with that, he slips back into the shadows and nearly vanishes.]

[Oh gosh that was so cool. Molly grins, then, after looking around to see if no one's watching, she "slips into the shadows" and sneaks around all Batman-like. Though she stops after a few minutes with a giggle; That was pretty fun! Her friends are never going to believe this.]
